Some history of the
The remains of this synagogue is of the oldest found in the Western world after the Diaspora. It was discovered in 1960, some tombstones are on display at the Museum. All that's left of it today are a few pillars and blocks of marble, but you can see Latin inscriptions in some of the marble paving stones.
