Some history of the Belforte Books
The Belforte publishing company started in 1805 when Joseph Belforte (1777-1841), known in the Jewish community registries as "student", published a Hebrew prayer book (Selichot, that is penitentiary orations) at his own expense with the tipographer Elieser Sadun.
