| The Jewish cemetery in Ostia is located nearby a rustic court. The damaged walls have been restored, and the gravestones cleaned and catalogued by Giuseppe Mineral, who still guards and looks after this place with great dedication. Today the cemetery includes 41 marble gravestones and one wrought iron one, covering a period of 131 years (1812-1943). Most of them present a double Jewish and Italian inscription and many religious symbols referring to the Jewish tradition. |
